Baggage
Your baggage will be identified with a tag number when you check it. You will get a receipt for each bag checked.
Make sure the number of receipts corresponds to the number of
bags checked and keep the receipts until you get to your destination.
You will be able to identify your baggage with your tag number.
Baggage Allowance
Each passenger may check up to 64 kilograms, in accordance with the following specifications:
Exception list:
1. Passengers who buy “flexible fares” (booked in Y, B or M class service) will have a 100% discount off their first 20 kg of bagagge. However, excess baggage charges will be collected if the bag weight exceeds pluna’s allowance.
2. Passengers buying tickets in Brazil get a 100% discount off their first 20 kg of bagagge. However, excess baggage
charges will be collected if the bag weight exceeds pluna’s allowance.
3. Passengers buying tickets in countries other than Brazil will be charged with their first 20kg of baggage in both the city of origin and destination. Excess baggage
charges will be collected if the bag weight exceeds pluna’s allowance.
4. Groups of 10 or more people booked on the same reservation will not pay the charge for the first 20 kg of bagagge.
5. Passengers travelling between Montevideo and Sao Paulo or between Sao Paulo and Montevideo (non-connecting) will be exempted from the charge for their first 23kg of bagagge. However, excess baggage charges will be collected if the bag weight exceeds pluna’s allowance.
6. These conditions do not apply for passengers holding tickets with offline sectors. However, excess baggage charges will be collected if the bag weight exceeds pluna’s allowance.
As regards fast baggage, the allowance will be 12kg, and the passenger shall pay USD 32.

Excess baggage
Each passenger is entitled to carry up to 32kg per bag, bearing in mind that for each kilogram exceeding the first 20kg, an excess baggage charge shall be paid in accordance with:

* Strollers shall be transported free of charge. In the case of compound chairs (2 checked bags), the first one will be charged, and the second one won’t.
** Pets may be transported in-cabin, provided that the animal + the container weigh no more than 5 kilograms.
The passenger shall be responsible for wrapping each piece for its transportation.
No charge applies to the following checked baggage: wheelchairs, crutches and orthopedic items.
Blind person’s guide dogs will be transported in-cabin free of charge.
Flights operated by other companies may have a different baggage policy, in which case their baggage policy shall apply.
Hand baggage
Hand baggage is permitted in every case, free from charge,
provided that it complies with the security standards, does not exceed 8
kg in weight and 40 cm x 32 cm x 20 cm in dimensions. This applies to
all of our flights.
All baggage exceeding this size will be checked.

Items FORBIDDEN FOR CARRIAGE on board:
Hand baggage security applicable to all of our international
flights (including the air shuttle service). Valid for all passengers
boarding or connecting in MVD.
> Sharp objects such as penknives, knives, razors, scissors, nail clippers, tweezers, etc.
RESTRICTED items:
- All liquids must be held in individual containers not
exceeding 100ml, carried in separate, sealed, clear-plastic bags not
exceeding 20cm x 20cm in dimensions
- Containers exceeding 100ml, even if partially empty, cannot be carried on board
- The items must fit comfortably in the bag
- The bag must be x-ray screened at airport security points, only one bag per passenger being allowed
The following liquids, pastes and gels are allowed:
- Medicines: liquid, gel or aerosol. (letter from your physician required)
- Baby formula/milk
- Liquids, juices or gels for passengers who indicate a need for such items to address their medical condition
- Liquids, gels and/or aerosols (including duty-free items)
purchased in the boarding area may exceed the limits set above and are
permitted onboard the aircraft, as long as they are wrapped in sealed
plastic bags and the passenger holds the purchase receipt.
In order to make security inspections easier, the plastic bag
carrying the containers with liquid must be handed in separately.
The following items ARE considered liquids:
> Water and other beverages, soups, syrups.
> Creams, lotions and oils, including toothpaste.
> Perfumes
> Gels (shower gel or shampoo)
> Pressurised containers, including shaving cream, foams and deodorants
> Aerosols or any other item of similar consistence
